Germany x Reader

Ludwig heard her come in that day while he sat on the couch with a beer in one hand, a book in the other and his reading glasses on. She slammed the door and ran up the steps to go take a shower, muttering profanities in her native language. Ludwig sighed and closed his book.
He got to work making her favorite food and favorite cake. She would be in there for a long time.

When (Name) came out, Ludwig was greeted to a beautiful woman with baggy gray sweatpants on, and an extremely oversized sweatshirt. Her hair was wet and thrown into a messy bun. "Luddy?" She asked in a small voice. He hummed in reply. "Can you just hold me?"
Ludwig stopped all his motions and stared at her. She never asked for him to hold her. Yes, of course they've hugged and all but he always initiated those. Now she's asking him. He nodded quickly and turned off the stove. (Favorite Food) could wait. He picked her up and carried her to the couch as she cuddled into his neck.
Ludwig set her down on his lap and held her closely rocking her back and forth. Small sniffles occasionally were heard. He shushed her and kissed each tear away. "Liebling why are you crying?"
And everything spilled out. She recounted her rough day to him.
Today was an extremely rough day for her. She had found out a family friend she was close to recently passed. On top of that her favorite heel broke, she got a parking ticket, she fell in a puddle of mud and got stuck in traffic for two hours.
"Ludwig, I just feel so sad." She sniffled. He smiled a genuine smile and kissed her chapped lips. "Ich liebe dich mein (Name)." He kissed her neck with each sweet word, and she smiled. "Those type of days will always bring you down, but thats ok. You need the bad days to love the good days." (Name) sighed tiredly. He was right of course
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Damn Luddy, when'dya get all deep?" She giggled.

He smiled at her, lifting her chin, and rubbing his nose against hers.
